What Does Zetwerk Manufacturing Business Do?

Zetwerk operates a technology-enabled manufacturing platform serving industrial and consumer-product businesses. Its model combines in-house manufacturing capabilities with a network of external suppliers to deliver components, equipment and finished products.

Traditional manufacturing companies generally depend heavily on their own factories and machinery. Zetwerk follows a hybrid model in which production can be allocated across its manufacturing facilities and qualified third-party suppliers based on customer requirements, production capacity and technical capabilities.

The company manages processes such as supplier identification, production planning, quality assurance, procurement, logistics and order execution. Its proprietary Zetwerk OS technology platform supports coordination across this manufacturing network.

This approach allows the business to serve customers requiring different manufacturing processes without owning every production facility involved in fulfilling orders.

Zetwerk works across manufacturing processes including metal fabrication, sheet-metal stamping, machining, forging, casting, injection moulding, extrusion and assembly.

Energy and Industrial Manufacturing Business

Energy-related products represent Zetwerk’s largest business category, accounting for approximately 60% of revenue.

The company supplies manufacturing solutions for industries including renewable energy, electrical infrastructure, utilities, power generation and other energy-related applications.

Its customers include companies operating in wind energy, power equipment and industrial infrastructure. Manufacturing requirements in these sectors often involve large components, engineered assemblies and strict quality standards.

Zetwerk’s customer relationships include Siemens Gamesa, NTPC Renewable Energy, CG Power and Industrial Solutions, and other established industrial businesses.

Demand in this segment is influenced by renewable energy investment, electricity infrastructure expansion, industrial capital expenditure and equipment manufacturing activity.

Although the energy business provides access to large industrial markets, its performance can be affected by project execution cycles and fluctuations in customer spending.

Precision Manufacturing and Consumer Electronics

Precision manufacturing is another important part of Zetwerk’s operations, contributing approximately 23% of revenue.

This business serves applications requiring accurately manufactured components and specialised production processes. Its end markets include consumer electronics, electric vehicles, wearable devices and other technology-driven products.

Manufacturing precision components requires technical capabilities, consistent quality and the ability to deliver products at commercial scale.

Consumer electronics companies frequently operate complex supply chains involving multiple suppliers, components and assembly locations. Zetwerk’s platform is designed to coordinate manufacturing activities across such networks.

The company has relationships with customers including Acer India and consumer electronics businesses.

This segment provides exposure to electronics manufacturing and supply-chain diversification, but also faces risks from rapid product changes, customer concentration and intense pricing competition.

Aerospace, Defence and Advanced Manufacturing

Zetwerk also serves aerospace, defence and other advanced industrial applications.

These industries require manufacturing capabilities that meet demanding technical specifications and quality requirements. Components may involve specialised materials, complex machining and rigorous inspection processes.

The company’s disclosed customer relationships include the Indian Air Force and defence research establishments, alongside customers in industrial equipment and infrastructure.

India’s efforts to expand domestic defence production and advanced manufacturing create opportunities for suppliers capable of meeting industry-specific standards.

However, defence and aerospace projects can involve lengthy qualification periods, complex procurement procedures and extended payment cycles. Successful participation requires consistent manufacturing quality and compliance with customer requirements.

Global Manufacturing Network

Zetwerk’s manufacturing network extends beyond India, with supplier capabilities across countries including Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, Germany, Spain, Mexico and the United States.

Its international presence allows customers to access manufacturing capacity in different locations and potentially diversify their supply chains.

Global manufacturers increasingly evaluate sourcing decisions based on cost, quality, delivery reliability, geopolitical risks and tariff exposure. A distributed manufacturing network can help address some of these requirements.

However, operating across several countries also introduces complexity. The company must manage differences in regulations, customs procedures, transportation costs, supplier performance and currency movements.

The effectiveness of Zetwerk’s business model therefore depends not only on securing customer orders but also on coordinating production and maintaining consistent delivery standards.

Zetwerk Manufacturing Business Financial Performance

Zetwerk has recorded substantial revenue growth, reflecting expansion across its industrial manufacturing and consumer-product businesses. However, the company continues to report net losses, making profitability an important consideration when evaluating its financial position.

Financial MetricFY2025FY2026
Revenue from Operations₹11,331.9 crore₹15,913.3 crore
Net Loss₹370.7 crore₹1,606.1 crore

Revenue from operations increased approximately 40.4% in FY2026. Despite this expansion, the net loss widened significantly from the previous financial year.

For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Zetwerk reported revenue from operations of approximately ₹4,117.9 crore, compared with ₹2,649.4 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. This represents year-on-year growth of approximately 55.4%.

The quarterly net loss narrowed to approximately ₹732.9 crore from ₹1,368.4 crore a year earlier. Although the reduction indicates improvement compared with the previous year’s quarter, the company remained loss-making.

These financial results highlight the difference between revenue growth and sustainable profitability. Investors evaluating manufacturing businesses must consider operating margins, working-capital requirements, finance costs and the cash generated from operations, rather than relying exclusively on sales growth.

IPO Structure and Use of Proceeds

The Zetwerk Manufacturing Business IPO comprises a fresh issue worth ₹2,830 crore and an Offer for Sale worth approximately ₹2,182.33 crore.

The fresh issue will provide capital to the company, while the OFS proceeds will go to existing selling shareholders, subject to applicable expenses.

Zetwerk intends to allocate approximately ₹2,160 crore of the fresh issue proceeds towards repayment or prepayment of borrowings taken by the company and certain subsidiaries.

The remaining proceeds are intended for inorganic growth opportunities, including potential acquisitions, and general corporate purposes, after accounting for offer expenses.

Debt repayment could reduce future financing costs and improve the company’s financial flexibility. However, the extent of any improvement will depend on the borrowings repaid, their interest rates and the company’s subsequent funding requirements.

Growth Opportunities

Zetwerk operates in several industries that could benefit from increasing manufacturing investment and supply-chain diversification.

Renewable energy equipment, power infrastructure and industrial automation provide opportunities for specialised manufacturing suppliers. Expansion in consumer electronics and electric vehicle production could also support demand for precision-engineered components.

The company’s technology-supported manufacturing network may allow it to respond to different customer requirements without depending entirely on investments in new company-owned factories.

International manufacturing relationships offer another potential growth avenue, particularly where customers seek alternative sourcing locations.

Nevertheless, converting these opportunities into sustainable earnings requires disciplined project execution, supplier management, working-capital control and improvement in operating profitability.

Key Risks

The most significant financial consideration is Zetwerk’s history of losses. Although revenue has expanded rapidly, the company reported a substantially larger net loss in FY2026. Continued losses could affect cash generation, financing requirements and future expansion plans.

Its manufacturing model also creates execution risks. The company depends on both internal operations and external suppliers to fulfil customer orders. Delays, quality failures or supplier disruptions could affect customer relationships and profitability.

Working-capital requirements represent another concern. Large manufacturing contracts may require expenditure on materials, production and logistics before customers complete payments.

Zetwerk also operates across cyclical industries, including energy infrastructure, industrial equipment and consumer electronics. Changes in capital expenditure, customer demand or project schedules can affect revenue.

International operations expose the business to currency movements, tariffs, trade restrictions and geopolitical developments. Competition from established manufacturers and other supply-chain service providers may also pressure margins.

Zetwerk Manufacturing Business IPO GMP

As of October 13, 2026, market reporting indicated an unofficial grey market premium of approximately ₹18 per share for the Zetwerk IPO.

Against the upper price band of ₹151, this implies an indicative price of ₹169 per share, representing a premium of approximately 11.9%.

However, GMP is an unofficial market indicator and is not published or guaranteed by the stock exchanges. It can change rapidly before listing, and actual market prices may differ substantially from grey-market expectations.

Investors should evaluate the company’s financial position, business model, valuation and offer documents independently of unofficial listing-premium estimates.
