Stocks to Watch Today: Pine Labs, Waaree Energies, GRSE & More

Indian markets begin Tuesday’s session with investors tracking fresh corporate announcements, order wins, fundraising plans, capacity expansion and block-deal activity. The Nifty 50 closed at 23,414.30 on September 21, gaining 67.90 points, while the Sensex rose 564.03 points to 74,858.99.

For September 22, several companies have released developments that could keep their shares in focus, particularly across solar energy, shipbuilding, battery storage, financial services, electrical equipment and pharmaceuticals.

The latest available cash-market data for September 21 showed FIIs as net sellers and DIIs as net buyers. FIIs sold ₹576.20 crore more than they purchased, while DIIs recorded net buying of ₹2,797.27 crore.

Pine Labs

Pine Labs is in focus after reports that Mastercard Asia/Pacific Pte. Ltd. is set to sell its entire stake in the company through a block deal. Up to 4.97 crore shares, representing approximately 4.3% of the company, are reportedly being offered at a floor price of ₹179.50 per share, with the transaction value estimated at nearly ₹890 crore. The proposed transaction is being reported as a secondary share sale by the existing investor.

Waaree Energies

Waaree Energies has received an order from a leading solar developer for the supply of 2 GW of solar modules. The order adds to the company’s solar-module order pipeline as India’s renewable-energy deployment and domestic solar manufacturing capacity continue to expand.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers has approved a ₹2,896 crore capital budget for construction of a greenfield shipyard at Raichak. The proposed facility is intended to increase GRSE’s shipbuilding capacity across both naval and commercial segments. The project represents a significant planned capital expenditure for the defence shipbuilder.

PACE Digitek

PACE Digitek’s subsidiary Lineage Power has secured an order worth ₹488.46 crore from NTPC GE Power Services. The contract covers the supply, installation and commissioning of battery energy-storage systems for the Barh Super Thermal Power Project, along with a 12-year maintenance contract.

Lumino Industries

Lumino Industries reported strong year-on-year growth in its latest consolidated quarterly results. Profit increased 32.4% to ₹40.2 crore, compared with ₹30.3 crore in the corresponding period, while revenue rose 19.3% to ₹521.4 crore from ₹437.1 crore. The results place the company among the earnings-related stocks in focus on Tuesday.

Augmont Enterprises

Augmont Enterprises reported a mixed quarterly performance. Consolidated profit declined 15.3% to ₹57.7 crore from ₹68.2 crore, while revenue increased 30.2% to ₹18,945.6 crore compared with ₹14,552 crore in the year-ago period. The contrasting movement in revenue and profit is the key result-related development for the company.

Symbiotec Pharmalab

Symbiotec Pharmalab reported a 53% year-on-year decline in consolidated profit to ₹14.1 crore, compared with ₹29.9 crore previously. Revenue, however, increased 7.4% to ₹218.2 crore from ₹203.2 crore. The quarterly numbers are the primary reason for the stock’s inclusion in Tuesday’s watchlist.

Motilal Oswal Financial Services

Motilal Oswal Financial Services said its Finance Committee will meet on September 24 to consider raising funds through the issuance of non-convertible debentures via private placement, potentially in one or more tranches. The proposed fundraising remains subject to the committee’s decision and applicable approvals.

GK Energy

GK Energy has received a Letter of Award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company for setting up a 150 MW/300 MWh battery energy-storage system in Maharashtra. The project adds to the company’s exposure to India’s emerging grid-scale energy-storage infrastructure.

Transrail Lighting

Transrail Lighting has completed Phase 1 of its brownfield expansion at its Silvassa facility, increasing annual conductor-manufacturing capacity by 70% to 40,800 km from 24,000 km. The capacity expansion is relevant to the company’s transmission and power-infrastructure business.
