The company recorded total dispatches of 5.68 lakh units, compared with 5.54 lakh units in August last year, representing growth of around 2.6%. Domestic sales increased 4.5% to approximately 5.42 lakh units. The company’s retail performance was also stronger, with VAHAN registrations showing 19% growth during the month.

Coal India
Coal India is in focus following its August e-auction and operating data.
The company offered 210.66 lakh tonnes of coal through its e-auctions during August, of which approximately 82.76 lakh tonnes were allocated. The average auction price was around 59% above notified prices, compared with a 46% premium during the April-August period.
Coal supplies also increased 5.5% year-on-year to 60.60 million tonnes in August, while supplies to the power sector rose 4.5% to 48.46 million tonnes.

NMDC
NMDC is in focus after reporting higher iron-ore production during August.
The company’s production rose 13.7% year-on-year to 4.07 million tonnes during August 2026. Cumulative production through August reached approximately 23.23 million tonnes.
The production update provides a fresh operating indicator for India’s largest iron-ore producer and puts the mining stock in focus during Wednesday’s session.
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank has a major leadership development after Managing Director and CEO Sanjeev Nautiyal stepped down, seeking early retirement.

Market Overview
Indian markets remained volatile on Tuesday as crude oil prices moved higher amid renewed geopolitical tensions. The Nifty 50 stayed around the 24,000 level, while banking and auto stocks faced pressure during the session.

For Wednesday, the 24,000–23,950 zone is being watched as an important near-term support area, while 24,200–24,400 remains a reference zone on the upside. The short-term options range is also being tracked around 23,500–24,500.
GIFT Nifty was indicating a cautious start before the market open, with the September contract recently around 24,051 and pointing towards a modestly weaker opening.
Crude oil remains one of the biggest external factors for Indian markets. Rising oil prices, geopolitical developments, the rupee, global bond yields and foreign institutional flows are likely to remain important throughout Wednesday’s session.
