US Stock Futures Decline as AI Selling Continues and Inflation Concerns Intensify
US stock futures traded lower on Thursday, October 15, as Wall Street confronted another round of selling in artificial intelligence-related companies, despite strong quarterly earnings from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. Ahead of the opening bell, Nasdaq 100 futures declined approximately 1.2%, while S&P 500 futures slipped 0.3%. Dow Jones futures gained around 0.2%. Wednesday’s trading session had already produced substantial losses across technology shares after stronger-than-expected US consumer inflation increased expectations of further Federal Reserve interest-rate increases. The yield on the benchmark 10-year Treasury note eased toward 5.09% on Thursday morning after reaching approximately 5.30% during Wednesday’s session.
