๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ฆ Chinnu’s First Money Lesson! ๐๐ฐ
Chinnu had a very important question for his dad.
“Nanna, what exactly is money? Is it just for buying toys and chocolates?”
Suresh smiled.
“Not exactly. Money also helps us plan for things we’ll need in the future.”
Priya had an idea.
“Let’s divide your pocket money into three jars. One for spending, one for saving and one for learning about investing.”
Chinnu was excited.
Spending jar? Perfect for chocolates. ๐ซ
Saving jar? Maybe a new bicycle. ๐ฒ
Investing jar? Still trying to understand that one. ๐
A few weeks later, Chinnu proudly showed his parents how much he’d saved.
Suresh: “Very good! You’re learning to manage money.”
Chinnu: “Yes, Nanna! And I’ve already made my next financial decision.”
Priya: “What’s that?”
Chinnu: “I’m saving for a bicycle. But if you buy it for me, I can save even more!” ๐
Suresh suddenly realised his son was becoming a better negotiator than him. ๐
Teaching kids about money doesn’t need complicated explanations.
Sometimes three jars, a little pocket money and a funny conversation are enough to get started.
What was the first thing you saved money to buy as a child?
A bicycle, a toy, a cricket bat or something else? ๐
