US Stocks to Watch Today, October 26, 2026: Verizon, Tesla, CoreWeave, Cadence and EQT

Monday, October 26, 2026 | OneTrader US Market Preview

US stocks began the new trading week with attention focused on quarterly earnings, artificial intelligence infrastructure companies, energy-sector consolidation and the Federal Reserve’s upcoming policy decision. Verizon, CoreWeave, Tesla, Cadence Design Systems, EQT and Range Resources were among the companies attracting attention. Monday’s earnings calendar also includes Nucor, Welltower, Celestica and Public Storage, while US manufacturing indicators and a Treasury auction add to the day’s economic agenda.

US Premarket: Technology, Energy and International Stocks in Focus

Wall Street’s premarket activity reflected different developments across technology, energy and internationally exposed companies. AI infrastructure providers faced pressure, while the announcement of a major US natural-gas acquisition generated movement in energy shares. Brazilian companies listed in the United States also experienced sharp declines following the country’s presidential election.

The market entered an important corporate reporting week, with earnings from several major technology companies scheduled over the coming days. The Federal Reserve’s October 27–28 meeting provided another significant event for investors assessing inflation, interest rates and the economic outlook.

Verizon (VZ): Third-Quarter Earnings in Focus

Verizon Communications is among Monday’s major earnings reporters, with its third-quarter announcement scheduled before the US market opens. One earnings-calendar estimate places adjusted earnings expectations at $1.27 per share and revenue at approximately $34.84 billion, although forecasts vary between data providers.

The telecommunications company’s results are important for assessing wireless subscriber performance, broadband expansion and service revenue trends. Investors will also receive updated information about operating profitability, cash generation and management’s expectations for the remainder of 2026. Verizon’s earnings announcement is one of the day’s most significant scheduled corporate events.

Tesla (TSLA): Large-Cap Technology Attention

Tesla remains among the major US technology companies attracting market attention as investors evaluate developments in electric vehicles, manufacturing and autonomous driving technology. The company is also closely associated with broader discussions about artificial intelligence investment.

No specific Tesla premarket price or percentage movement is included here because a quoted trading snapshot could not be independently corroborated in the latest verification. Tesla’s inclusion reflects its relevance to the broader technology market rather than a newly confirmed company announcement.

CoreWeave (CRWV), Nebius (NBIS) and IREN (IREN): AI Infrastructure Pressure

Shares of AI infrastructure companies CoreWeave, Nebius and IREN declined during Monday’s premarket session, with reports indicating losses exceeding 3% across the group.

The declines followed renewed discussion about the financial sustainability of specialized AI computing providers. Public comments from Elon Musk about the challenges facing numerous AI infrastructure companies added to concerns about borrowing requirements, computing capacity and long-term profitability. These businesses operate in a capital-intensive segment of the technology industry, where infrastructure spending and financing arrangements remain important considerations.

EQT (EQT) and Range Resources (RRC): Major Natural-Gas Acquisition

EQT announced an agreement to acquire Range Resources in an all-stock transaction valued at nearly $13 billion. Under the agreement, Range Resources shareholders will receive 0.987 EQT shares for each Range share. The transaction values Range shares at approximately $54.91 each, based on EQT’s previous closing price. Existing EQT shareholders are expected to own approximately 73% of the combined business, with Range shareholders holding the remaining 27%.

Range Resources advanced approximately 10% in premarket trading, while EQT declined around 2%. The companies expect the transaction to close in the first quarter of 2027, subject to required approvals and customary conditions.

Cadence develops electronic design automation software used in semiconductor development. Its earnings will provide an update on demand for chip-design software, semiconductor intellectual property and technologies supporting advanced computing.

Nucor, Welltower, Celestica and Other Earnings

Nucor (NUE), Welltower (WELL), Celestica (CLS), Public Storage (PSA), Amkor Technology (AMKR) and Rambus (RMBS) are scheduled to report after Monday’s closing bell.

Nucor’s results will provide information about US steel demand and manufacturing conditions. Welltower’s report will cover its senior housing and healthcare property operations, while Celestica, Amkor and Rambus will offer updates across electronics manufacturing and semiconductor technologies. Hartford Insurance (HIG), Principal Financial (PFG) and Whirlpool (WHR) also appear on Monday’s after-hours earnings calendar.
