What Does Steamhouse India Do?
Steamhouse India operates in the industrial utility segment, primarily generating and supplying steam to manufacturing companies. Instead of every industrial customer maintaining its own captive boiler infrastructure, Steamhouse uses a centralized community-boiler model in which steam is generated at common facilities and transported to customers through dedicated pipelines.
This model is particularly relevant for industries where steam is an important part of the manufacturing process. Chemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, paper, food processing and other industrial businesses require steam for heating, processing and other applications. Steamhouse’s centralized model is designed to provide customers with an alternative to maintaining individual steam-generation facilities.

The company was incorporated in 2015 as Ankleshwar Eco Energy Limited and subsequently changed its name to Steamhouse India Limited. Its corporate base is in Surat, Gujarat, while its operating infrastructure is concentrated around major industrial clusters in Gujarat.
Community Boiler and Pipeline Network
Steamhouse has built a network of community steam-generation facilities across industrial areas including Sachin, Vapi, Ankleshwar, Sarigam, Panoli and Nandesari. According to company information, the business had seven operational community boiler facilities with combined installed steam capacity of approximately 345 tonnes per hour as of November 2025.
The company has also developed more than 45 kilometres of pipeline infrastructure connecting its generation facilities with industrial customers. The pipeline-based distribution system is an important component of its business model because it creates physical infrastructure around customer locations and allows Steamhouse to supply steam directly to factories.
The company had more than 167 industrial customers according to information released during its pre-IPO period, with customers spread across chemicals, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food processing, paper and manufacturing. Its customer list includes industrial companies such as Aether Industries, Anupam Rasayan and other businesses operating within Gujarat’s major industrial clusters.

Steamhouse India Expands Into Nitrogen
Steamhouse has begun diversifying beyond steam. The company commenced nitrogen generation and distribution in February 2025 and has positioned itself as an early participant in pipeline-based nitrogen distribution in India.
Traditionally, industrial nitrogen can be supplied through cylinders, cryogenic tanks or on-site generation systems. Steamhouse’s model is different because it uses a centralized generation and pipeline distribution approach. The company believes this can provide industrial customers with a more convenient and potentially efficient supply arrangement.
The nitrogen business is still relatively new compared with the company’s established steam operations. Therefore, investors should view it as a potential growth opportunity rather than a mature contributor to current earnings.
Waste-to-Steam and Sustainable Energy Initiatives
Another area of expansion is waste-to-energy. Steamhouse has explored the use of alternative fuels including non-recyclable plastic waste and textile waste for steam generation. It has commissioned a waste-to-steam boiler at Vapi and has also secured a 5 MW waste-to-steam project from the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation under a public-private partnership model.

The use of alternative fuels could potentially help the company diversify its fuel mix and support industrial customers looking for more sustainable utility solutions. However, the economics of such projects depend on fuel availability, technology, regulatory approvals and operating efficiency.
Steamhouse India IPO Financial Performance
Steamhouse India has recorded growth in revenue, although its profit trajectory has been less consistent. Revenue from operations increased from approximately ₹291.71 crore in FY24 to ₹395.11 crore in FY25, representing growth of around 35%. During the same period, profit after tax increased from approximately ₹27.19 crore to ₹31.16 crore.
For the six months ended September 30, 2025, Steamhouse reported revenue from operations of approximately ₹238.42 crore and profit after tax of ₹13.09 crore. Repeat customers accounted for approximately 96.64% of revenue during this period, indicating strong recurring relationships within its industrial customer base.
| Financial Metric | FY24 | FY25 | H1 FY26 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue from Operations | ₹291.71 Cr | ₹395.11 Cr | ₹238.42 Cr |
| Profit After Tax | ₹27.19 Cr | ₹31.16 Cr | ₹13.09 Cr |
| PAT Margin | 9.32% | 7.89% | 5.49% |
| Total Borrowings | ₹222.95 Cr | ₹202.71 Cr | ₹105.94 Cr* |

The financial numbers show a business that has expanded its revenue base but has also experienced pressure on profitability margins. FY25 revenue growth was strong, but the increase in profit was considerably lower than the increase in revenue. Investors should therefore monitor whether future capacity additions translate into improved operating leverage and stronger margins.
Steamhouse India Debt Position
Debt reduction is one of the principal objectives of the proposed IPO. The company had outstanding borrowings of approximately ₹216.5 crore as of September 2025, according to information released with its IPO plans. Around ₹150 crore of the proposed fresh-issue proceeds was earmarked for repayment or prepayment of certain borrowings.
Reducing debt could be important for Steamhouse because its business requires significant investment in boilers, pipelines and other infrastructure. Lower borrowings could reduce interest costs and improve financial flexibility as the company expands into additional industrial locations.
However, investors should also examine whether the company’s operating cash flows are sufficient to support future expansion without creating another significant increase in leverage.

Use of IPO Proceeds
The original IPO structure allocated approximately ₹150 crore toward repayment or prepayment of outstanding borrowings. Around ₹35.10 crore was proposed for capacity expansion at the Ankleshwar facility, while approximately ₹35.80 crore was earmarked for expansion at the Panoli facility.
A further ₹37.38 crore was proposed for establishing a steam-generation facility at Dahej SEZ. The balance was intended for general corporate purposes.
These investments indicate that Steamhouse intends to use the IPO not only to strengthen its balance sheet but also to increase its operating capacity. Ankleshwar, Panoli and Dahej are important industrial locations, and additional capacity could allow the company to add customers and increase steam distribution volumes.
Steamhouse India Pre-IPO Funding
In June 2026, Steamhouse India raised approximately ₹49.99 crore through a pre-IPO placement. The company allotted 68,49,315 equity shares at ₹73 per share to investors including Singularity Large Value Fund III, Singularity Equity Fund I and Niveshaay Sambhav Fund.

Following the transaction, the three investors together held approximately 2.94% of the company’s pre-offer equity share capital. Because the company raised capital before the IPO, the proposed fresh issue is adjusted in accordance with applicable regulations.
The pre-IPO investment also provides an indication that institutional and sophisticated investors had shown interest in the company’s industrial utility business before the public offering. However, the pre-IPO price should not automatically be treated as a benchmark for the eventual IPO valuation.
Steamhouse India IPO GMP
Grey Market Premium, or GMP, is an unofficial indicator of market sentiment before an IPO lists. It is not regulated by SEBI or the stock exchanges and can change quickly based on market conditions and investor demand.
As of September 4, 2026, no reliable GMP quotation was available for Steamhouse India in the sources checked. Therefore, investors should not use an assumed GMP figure to estimate listing gains.

The company’s financial performance, valuation, debt position, cash-flow generation and ability to expand its industrial steam network are more important considerations than unofficial grey-market activity.
Strengths of Steamhouse India
Steamhouse’s differentiated community-boiler model is one of its key strengths. Industrial customers can potentially avoid some of the capital expenditure and operational complexity associated with maintaining individual captive steam-generation facilities. A centralized supply model can also create recurring relationships once pipeline infrastructure is established around an industrial cluster.
The company’s pipeline network and presence across Gujarat’s industrial zones provide another potential competitive advantage. Building generation facilities and dedicated pipelines requires capital and technical expertise, creating infrastructure-based entry barriers in areas where the company has already established operations.
The company is also expanding into nitrogen distribution and waste-to-steam solutions. These initiatives provide potential avenues for diversification while remaining connected to the broader industrial utility and energy-efficiency theme.

Another positive factor is the recurring nature of industrial demand. Steam is often an essential input for manufacturing processes, meaning customers may require continuous and reliable supply rather than purchasing the product on an occasional basis.
Key Risks to Consider
Steamhouse operates a capital-intensive infrastructure business. Boilers, pipelines and associated utility infrastructure require substantial upfront investment and ongoing maintenance. Expansion therefore needs to be supported by adequate utilization and customer additions to generate attractive returns on capital.
Fuel costs are another important risk. Steam generation depends heavily on fuel economics, and changes in coal prices, alternative fuel availability and other input costs can affect margins. The company has been exploring non-fossil and waste-based fuels, but the economics and availability of these sources can vary.
Customer concentration and industrial-sector exposure also need to be monitored. Although the company has served a growing number of customers, its business remains linked to industrial activity in the clusters where its pipeline network operates. A slowdown in chemical, pharmaceutical, textile or other manufacturing industries could affect demand.

Regulatory and environmental requirements represent another important consideration. Steam-generation facilities involve boilers, fuels, emissions and industrial safety requirements. Any changes in environmental regulations, fuel policies or operating permissions could increase costs or affect operations.
The company also has a relatively short listed-company track record because it is entering the public markets for the first time. Investors therefore need to evaluate the business based on its historical financial statements and the risks disclosed in its offer documents rather than relying only on the growth potential of India’s industrial utility market.
Steamhouse India IPO: Overall Picture
Steamhouse India represents a relatively differentiated IPO story within India’s industrial infrastructure space. Rather than being a conventional manufacturer, EPC contractor or industrial gas cylinder supplier, the company operates a centralized utility model in which steam is generated through community boilers and supplied to industrial customers through dedicated pipeline networks.
The business has several potential growth drivers, including India’s expanding industrial base, increasing demand for process steam, additional capacity at Ankleshwar and Panoli, a planned Dahej facility, nitrogen distribution and waste-to-steam initiatives. Revenue has grown strongly between FY24 and FY25, while the company has also maintained relationships with a growing industrial customer base.
At the same time, investors need to look carefully at profitability, leverage and capital requirements. FY25 revenue increased substantially, but profit growth was much slower, while the company’s debt position remains meaningful. The proposed use of IPO proceeds for debt repayment could improve the balance sheet, but future expansion will require continued investment in generation facilities and pipeline infrastructure.
The final IPO valuation will therefore be particularly important. As of September 4, 2026, the final price band and lot size were not available in the latest publicly verifiable sources. Investors should wait for the final issue terms before calculating the IPO’s valuation, P/E multiple and minimum application amount.
Steamhouse India IPO is scheduled to open on September 9, 2026 and close on September 11, 2026. The basis of allotment is expected on September 15, refunds and demat credit on September 16, and the shares are expected to list on September 17, 2026 on BSE and NSE.
